General Decha Hemkrasri has grabbed a splendid and magnificent victory for the President of the Thai Cycling Association for the second consecutive period in which the members’ club united and poured the votes unanimously.

At Amary Watergate Hotel, Pratunam, Bangkok, Thai Cycling Association has arranged a general ordinary meeting Thursday on March 19, 2020. The important agenda of this general meeting is the presidential election, whose term is over 4 years.


This meeting was attended by 43 member clubs from 46 clubs. According to the rules of the association, there must be at least half of the members attending the meeting. However, only 41 member clubs have the right to vote as the other 2 clubs are new members. Therefore, they are not eligible to vote this year.

It appeared that General Decha had only been nominated. No one nominated a rivalry, however, the chairman of the general meeting wanted to vote, and the club members have unanimously voted for him 41 votes. A new President will hold the office for a 4-year term until 2024.

General Decha Hemkasri has wonderful works in his first term, especially results of 30th SEA Games 2019 in the Philippines. Thai riders have impressive results with 6 golden medals, 1 silver medal and 4 bronze medals.

In addition, there are other results such as the Asian Continental Championships both road, track, mountain bike and BMX in which Thai riders have splendidly performed to be one in the region and the world. A great example is the Olympic Games, it can be said that General Decha is the first President to lead the rider to qualify for three (3) consecutive Olympic Games since 2012-2020.
