The Second Time of “Home Cycling, Protecting Covid-19”

The project "Cycling at Home, Preventing  Covid-19"  goes ahead for a second time. Thai national team athletes make a showdown with the talent riders as Thai PBS televises live for a full 2-hour and “Gen. Decha” prepares to make a new route

Thai Cycling Association (TCA), under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, moves forward nonstop to carry out “Home Cycling, Protecting Covid-19” for a second time on Sunday April 19, 2020 by means of inviting Thai national riders to make a showdown with the talent ones in Thailand and this event will be broadcasted for two full hours by "Thai PBS Television" from 14.00-16.00 hrs.


 

General Deja Hemkrasri, President of the TCA, revealed that after the Association has organized a project  “Home Cycling, Protecting Covid-19”  to campaign for the general public to turn out to ride their own bike in their houses to prevent the infection of the Covid-19  through the application "Zwift" which The first time on “Maha Songkran Day” on April 13, 2020 appeared to have received overwhelming attention from the public. There are nearly 1,000 participating people and more than 38,000 people are interested in watching live via the Thaicycling Association Facebook  Page within 1 hour.

General Decha Hemkasri said that the Association, with the cooperate of  the Office of Thai Health Promotion Foundation (THPF) and Thai PBS Television station,  goes ahead to carry out to create the second project of “Home Cycling, Protecting Covid-19”  which will take place on Sunday April 19. However, this time will be different from the first activity. For the first time, the Association has invited interested people to join the national team athletes who have led the group.  Each group of no more than 50 persons, but the 2nd activity will be the format of the competition. In this regard, I and the technical department of the Association on April 14, had a meeting with Mr. Anupong Chaiyarit, Deputy Director of Operations Public Broadcasting Organization of Thailand (TPA) and the working groups of Thai PBS Television to discuss the implementation of the said project.


While Mr. Wisut Kasiyapat, Thai national coach and one of the Association's working  groups, said that the second project of "Home Cycling, Protecting Covid-19" is a format of the competition. The Association will bring the national team athletes to compete with the famous riders that will be divided into two groups of male and female riders as follows:

                5 female national team riders will be consisting of "Beeze" Lieutenant Jutatip Maneephan, "Prae" Corporal Phetdarin Somrat, "Angun" Kuracha Chairin,  Natalie Panyawan, " Ploy" Warinthorn Phetpraphan to fight with 9 angels cyclists, namely "Naming" Nattha Klongklaew (ENKKU), "Fahsai" Naphatsorn Chaikitphaiboonsri (Sky Rider), "Song" Ravirat  Srisopa (Venn Cycling), "Chertaem” Sabaithip Pintapluk (Kitchen Queen)," Yui "Wadi Sricharupruek (KOM KOM), " Wan Wan "Arunnapha Panitcharoon (TCP), " Gift " Kulphon Charoensuk (Thai Airways) , "Mim" Panchanit Pongsathaporn (BG), "Dew" Ariya Charnphiphatkun (Venn Cycling).


Coach Wisut said that the two Thai national cyclists, namely  "TJ" Jai  Angsuthasawit and "Bank" Police Lieutenant  Setthawut Yodsuwan will enter the professional team " Thailand Continental
