TCA looks ahead and
prepares to shape young riders to fight the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam.
"Seth Muek" points to make plans early and this is also the creation
of rising stars to replace senior ones who are beginning to wane, by assigning coaches of all disciplines to select riders.

General Decha Hemkasri, President of Thai Cyclig Association
(TCA), under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, Thursday reveals that
from the situation of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) spreading across
the world and impacting sports in a broad way, especially for the Olympic
Games, Tokyo 2020 in Japan. It is originally scheduled to compete between July
24 - August 9, 2020, instead, had to be postponed to July 23 – August 8, 2021, this
new schedule is close to the 31st SEA Games hosted by Vietnam between November
21-December 2, 2021. Many sports may have duplicate athletes.

General Decha says that for the Association, even if it has
only one rider, namey " Beaze” Lieutenant
Jutathip Maneephan to qualify for the Olympic Games "Tokyo 2020” in the women's road
category, but the Association also prepares young riders for the 31st SEA Games
to push new blood riders to replace the senior ones that are beginning to wane
over time. Moreover, it also prepares a long-term plan for the 19th Asian Games
in Hangzhou, China during September 10-25, 2022.

President of the Association goes on to say that he has
assigned, most recently, coaches of each
discipline to prepare riders early, because cycling sports must be prepared
continuously for a period of years. If
waiting for the competition to come, then prepare to practice together. If it
is waiting for the competition to come near, then practicing together, it is afraid
that it will not be in time. In this
regard, coaches of each discipline have
already selected some of them. The road discipline is under the supervision of "Coach Tum", Wisut Kasiyaphat, "Coach Pu", Suphat Srisawai will
take care of the the mountain bike, and
Mr. Ath Chaimayo will coach BMX riders. In the meantime, Vietnam does not host track
competitions due to no Vellodrome.

exceptionally well in the Thailand Championship, Round 2, in Chanthaburi
province, in February, by winning both Individual
Road Race and Individual Time Trial, and Ms. Natthanan Nontakaew. In addition, there is a 23-year old male led
by "Frame" Thanakarn Chaiyasombat, who grabbed the gold medal in Team
Road Race and silver medal in men’s Individual Time Trial in the 30th SEA Games
in the Philippines. For the female under
23 years, they are Ms. Piyathida Thidchan and Ms. Waraporn Wayupap.

Bos" Ath Chaimayo of BMX discipline
says that the male riders will be the same team from the 30th SEA Games,
namely, "A" Mr. Kometh Sukprasert, owner of 2 gold medals from BMX
racing and Time Trial and Mr Somkid
Haratawan, a bronze medalist in BMX racing. Female athletes are "Fah" Ms. Chutikan Kitwanitsathian
and Ms. Waranya Saetae.

Continues to organize the next project of "Home Cycling, Combating Covid-19” on Sunday
April 26. The race will be a same format of the competition for male riders
with female ones. But a format of female
riders will be slightly adjusted, by inviting famous riders with a large number of follow-up
fans. Two riders per team compete the
national team riders led by "Beaze" Lieutenant Jutatip
Maneeraphan, "Plae" Phetdarin Somrat, "Chan" Chanpeng Nontasin, "Ploy" Ms.
Warinthorn Phetpraphan. The route is in Yorkshire City That simulates the route
of world Road Championship route 2019
for a distance of 14.8 km, but the national team will give two minutes of the
time for the famous riders so that it is quite close, not far apart.

President of
the TCA says the male riders will be the same riders that competed on April 19,
led by 2 Thai national cyclists, namely "TJ" Jai Angsuthasawit and
"Bank" Police Lieutenant Setthawut Yodsuwan to compete the
professional team "Thailand Continental Cycling Team", Training Camp
Peter (TCP) and Team Roojai. Moreover,
Goh Shun Huat, a rider of Singapore national team who is considered as the
godfather of the Zwift , will compete on the Watopia Figure 8, for a 29.8-km
distance. Thai PBS will broadcasted live
from 14.00-16.00 pm on both main television channels (press number 2),
including Thai PBS fan page and Thaicycling Association Facebook page. A special mission is to present a plaque of
honor to 1-3 winners for both male and female riders via video conferencing system
from Thai PBS station as riders will remain at each other's home.
