TCA revised the queues of Thailand Championships.
Because the situation of Covid-19 has not been resolved.
“Gen.Decha concerned about the public safety but ready
to comply with government policies.
The TCA revised the program of the Thailand road and
mountain bike championships after the government announced the use of the
Emergency Decree for another month by cutting the competition in Trat
province. Because it says that it will
encounter with the 36th National Junior Games "White Elephant Games"
where no one knows when they will compete again. It results in only 4
Championships remaining this year. In the meantime, "General Decha" reveals that it is
important to consider the safety of the people and strictly obey the government
policy as well as closely contemplate the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic.
If it still not sparse, it may have to adjust the plan again.
General Deja
Hemkrasri, President of Thai Cycling Association(TCA), under the Royal
Patronage of His Majesty the King, revealed that as the Cabinet has agreed with
the proposal of the Center of the Covid-19 Administration (CCA) to extend an
Emergency Decree for another one month since May 1-31. It has caused the change
of the competition of the TCA in some events to be revised from the original
schedule. Since there will be problems that riders competing in the
Championships are not able to travel across the province and are also in a
violation of the preventive measures for the spread of the Covid-19.
General Gecha Hemkasri said that King Bhumibhol Adulyadej
Cup’s Thailand Road & Mountain Bike Championships, originally scheduled for
5 rounds in 2020, will be reduced to 4 rounds.
because if the race is completed in all 5 races, cyclists will compete
in succession, it is almost no time to rest.
It will cut the 4th round hosted by Trat province between June
26-28. The important reason is that Trat
province will have to host the 36th National Junior Games "White Elephant
Games" And the 3rd National Senior Games "Trat Games" that had
been postponed due to the epidemic of the Covid-19 Which has not reset a definite competition
date.
"The thing that the TCA is concerning about is that if
the National Junior Games will hold during the period of the Thailand Road and
Mountain Bike Championships, it may cause the host of Trat province to have too
much burden or worry about the lack of agility.
The technical department of the TCA has to cut this round. Therefore, in 2020, there will be only 4
rounds which have already competed for 2 rounds, that is to say; the first
round was in Chiang Rai province and the 2nd round was in Chanthaburi province.
For other two remaining rounds, the program of the competition will be
rescheduled. In addition, at the end of the year, There will be the 47th
National Games that Si Sa Ket Province will host during 5-15 December. If the
TCA still organizes all 5 rounds, the second half of the program will be too
tight," said General Decha.

President of the TCA also said that the 3rd round in Thong
Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province, originally scheduled to compete
between May 29-31, had to be postponed, then it has to move up the round of
Rayong Province to be the 3rd round during July 17-19 instead. As the round of Thong Pha Phum District will
be the 4th round held August 21-23.
As the Princes Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Cup Thailand Flat Mountain Bike
Championships and Thailand Sport Tourism Bike for All Championships 2020 have
still 4 round as usual, there is a little bit adjustment by moving back the 3rd
round at the weapons production center in Lop Buri Province from August 22-23
to June 27-28.
However, General Decha went on to say that the TCA will
consider the situation that occurs. If
the epidemic of the Covid-49 has not subsided or the government also announces
the use of an Emergency Decree. The TCA must change the competition program
again or may reduce other events such as Thailand Flat Mountain Bike
Championships and Thailand Sport Tourism Bike for All Championships from 4
rounds to 3 rounds or Thailand BMX Championships from 5 rounds to 4 rounds.
General Decha also revealed that now we have to look at the
situation month by month or week by week in order to prevent the co-host
province from carrying too much of the burden. In particulary, if the spreading of the Covid-19 has not
subsided. The TCA is ready to adjust the
plan to fit the situation. The most important thing is that the TCA is
concerning about the safety of the Thai people both riders who will compete,
followers and people in the area and is ready to strictly comply with the
government's policies.

Furethermore, General Decha added that the project "Hom
Cycling, Combating Covid-19", as an online cycling or E-Cycling is at your
own house through the application "Zwift", will continue to do as
before. This week will be held on

mountain route, but cycling fans have to train and raise their level to level 6
so as to get prizes in the "a lucky cycling" together.
