Muek” General Decha Hemkasri, the president of Thai Cycling Association (TCA), under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, revealed that the Association has received the royal grace from Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati that She will join to ride a bike in the cycling activity called  “Safe riding in Rayong Hi” #RayongHi  #TripNewNormal  with a total  distance of 50km  On Saturday, last August 8, 2020 started at 08.00am from the Starting line within the Central Sports Stadium of Rayong province. The Princess has led the VIP group which consists of Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Satit Pitutacha, Deputy Minister of Public Health, Mr. Gongsak Yodmani,  Governor of Sports Authority of Thailand, Mr. Surasak Chareonsirichot Governor of Rayong Province along with the executives of the ministries, heads of government offices in Rayong in every region, various departments and local administrative organizations. In addition, 696 riders have been registered to participate in the 50km event.


General Decha said that for the mentioned activity, Thai Cycling Association has been assigned by Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) and The Center for Covid-19 Sittuation Administration (CCSA) so as to jointly organize sports activities in order to build the confidence and stimulate the economy in Rayong province which Thai Cycling Association has called this activity as “Safe Cycling in Rayong Hi” #RayongHi  #TripNewNormal on last  August 7-8. There was a limit of one thousand and five hundred applicants per day. A total of two days was not more than three thousand people. The activity on Friday August 7 was a short cycling trip divided into 2 distances; 15 km and 30 km. The registration was opened from 12.00 and started riding at 15.00. For activity on Saturday 8 August, it was a long cycling trip divided into 2 stages as well; 50 km and 100 km. For Saturday 8 August activity is a long-route cycling trip, divided into 2 phases as well: 50 km and 100 km.  The registration was opened from 05.00 and started riding at 08.00. Before that, on last August 1, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Sports Authority of Thailand and the CCSA have  organized two football special matches.  the first match was  Government VIP VS All Star Riders and the second one was Rayong FC and Chon Buri FC at the Central Sports Stadium of Rayong province  in order to jointly restore  the economy and call for the confidence to Rayong.


The president of the Association went on to say that the schedule of activity “Safe Riding in Rayong Hi” #RayongHi  #TripNewNormal on Saturday August 8, at 8.00, Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati has given the starting signal with a horn will press the horn to the cycling event where  She rode a bike to lead  the procession from the Starting line at the Central Sports Stadium, Rayong Province followed by the VIP group and  Thai national riders such as Lieutenant Jutatip Maneephan, Captain Chanpeng Nontasin, Corporal Supuksorn Nantana, Corporal  Phetdarin Somrat, Miss. Chaniporn Batriya, Police Lieutenant Thurakit Boonratanathanakorn, Corporal Sarawut Sirironnachai, Corporal Thanakarn Chaiyasombat , Police Lance  Corporal Navuti Liphongyu etc., as well as young female celebrity riders like “Nong Song” Rawirat Srisopa, “Nong Yui” Wadi Srijarupruek. In addition, there were also artists, stars, singers to participate in this procession with 696 riders who have applied for a 50km.


General Decha also added that the format of the procession of this activity has been arranged in such a way that there was a space between the procession to procession. There were commissaires from the Association to work as “Bike Marshall” to signal the participants to keep the distance in order to use an average speed of not more than 30 km per hour  in accordance with the New Normal life activities by taking measures to maintain the distance, avoid touching, reducing congestion, strictly limit the number of people specified by the CCSA. In addition, in the end of the procession, there was  a tourist police car with a Neutral  Service vehicle or a central service car with a professional mechanic who  provide bicycle repair services in the event of problems on the way and emergency ambulances with a doctor and nurses in the car. If there were people who are injured or suddenly sick, they can help immediately. Besides, the breakpoint provided for bicycle repair services by a professional technician at all 3 locations as well.


For a 50km route  after leaving the Rayong Central Sports Stadium - turn right reverse the arrow onto Sukhumvit Road - enter the normal route at PMY intersection - through Laem Thong department store - D Varee Hotel - Rayong Hospital - Rayong Highway Police Station - Pass the IRPC junction - Turn right at the Taphong Market intersection - Enter the Mae Ramphueng Road - Go to the White Stone Yard Which was designated as a stopover. The procession stopped in this area for 20 minutes, the cyclists had snacks, fruit and drinking water which has already prepared - After that, when the time has come, the procession departed for Khao Laem Ya National Park. - Turn left at Map Kha intersection - Pass Municipal School 2 - Pass Wat Rai Rai - Pass Wat Chang Chon Sirirat Bamrung Intersection - Pass Sala Daeng - Turn left on Sukhumvit Road - Go straight through Tapong Fruit Market intersection - Head into the province Rayong - Go straight through Pa Pradu Temple - Rayong Hospital - D Varee Hotel - Laem Thong Department Store - Go straight through PMY Intersection - Turn left onto Rayong Central Stadium which was the finising line. It was expected that it took approximately 3 hours and finished at 11.00am.


While the 100km route with 804 participants has ridden on the same route as the 50km route and rested at the White Stone Yard for 20 minutes. The riders had snacks, fruit and drinking water which  has already prepared. Before also heading to Khao Laem Ya National Park.  But the convoy of riders were separated to Ban Phe market - through Suan Son beach - bend to Klaeng Pier - turn left to head to Sukhumvit Road - Turn left at Wat Si Wanophat Sathitphon junction - Turn right at Lamduan junction - Pass in front of Lakchai Industrial Estate - Go straight through The Park Adventure - Turn left beside The Park Adventure - Pass Kaset Siri Village - Turn right through V Cafe - Turn left onto Natakhwan Sangkhruek Road - in front of Natakhwan Subdistrict (the point 2 of a parade point for drinking water Snack for the participants for approximately 20 minutes) - Turn right at Banlang Intersection - Pass Ban Don Intersection - Turn right through the bridge under the Housing Junction (IRPC staff house) - Pass in front of Central Department Store - Turn left Thap Ma Intersection - Turn right PMY intersection - Enter the finishing line at Rayong Central Stadium, it was  expected to take approximately 5 hours and finished at 13.00pm.


The organizing committee of the activity "Safe Cycling in Rayong Hi" #RayongHi #TripNewNormal consisting of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Public Health, the Sports Authority of Thailand, the CCSA,  Rayong province and Thai Cycling Association would like to invite Thai citizens to attend to welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati  to ride a bike along the prescribed route in the distance of 50km on Saturday August 8 at 8:00am onwards, in order to truly realize Her benevolence for riding a bike this time so as to build the confidence and an economic stimulation for the people of Rayong province.
